Whenever we suffer chronic pain, we find ourselves trapped with only two options; whether to pop a pill or sustain the pain. What we often do not realise is that pharmaceutical drugs may not be our only option to get rid of body pains. You can get relief from such pains with the help of some simple home remedies as well. Here is what you can try to heal your body pain.

1. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Apple cider vinegar is one of the effective home remedies for pain in the muscles. Fill your bath tub with warm water and add two cupfuls of apple cider vinegar into it. Now soak yourself in the water for a few minutes. You will be surprised to see your pain slowly fade away.

2. COLD SHOWER

Overworked muscles respond very easily to cold water. Taking a cold-water shower helps in easing damage caused due to overuse of muscles. You can also add cold compress to get relief from stiffness and soreness of the muscles. Apply the cold compress to the affected area for about thirty minutes to relieve body pain

3. GINGER

Ginger has amazing anti-inflammatory properties, which make it a great remedy for body aches and pains. It also improves blood circulation. You may drink a hot cupful of ginger tea to get quick relief from body pain.

4. TURMERIC

This spice is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties and can be used as a natural painkiller. Heat milk on low heat and add a teaspoonful of turmeric in it. Drink this turmeric milk to heal pain. This spice can also be used to relieve arthritis pain, heartburn and inflammation.

5. CINNAMON

Cinnamon is a great remedy for joint aches. It has been popularly used to treat arthritis from ancient times due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Drinking a cup of lukewarm milk mixed with half a teaspoonful of cinnamon powder and a tablespoonful of honey first thing in the morning is a great way to treat joint pain.

6. MUSTARD OIL

Mustard oil is considered to be one of the best home remedies for body pain treatment. It acts as a natural rubefacient that boosts flow of blood to the surface of the skin and speeds up healing process. Take 10 cloves of garlic and chop them. Heat them in 4 tablespoonfuls of mustard oil. Once the oil cools down, strain it and massage it onto the affected area. For fast relief, use this remedy 3-4 times in a day.

7. BANANA

Our body needs potassium for strong and healthy muscles and bananas are loaded with it. Eating bananas can also prevent cramps and fatigue. Muscle weakness often occurs due to potassium deficiency. You can eat banana as it is or make a glassful of banana shake every morning for breakfast to give your body the required amount of potassium and calcium to eliminate pain.
